Company information
The facts on file
- Description
- Recurly is a subscription management and recurring billing platform covering automated billing, plan management, global payment orchestration, dunning/churn recovery and ASC 606/IFRS 15 revenue recognition. It is used by brands including Twitch, Paramount+ and Nuuly, and its plan tiers are positioned at businesses with $1m–$25m and $25m+ annual revenue. It sits as a billing layer on top of the merchant's own processor rather than acting as merchant of record.

- Pricing
- Not vendor-published; third-party G2 listing reports Starter at $249/month + 0.9% of billing volume with first $40K of monthly billings included (unverified) · free tier: No permanent free tier per G2; a free trial is reported. Capterra shows a $0.00 'Core' plan, treated as a directory artefact and unresolved. pricing page ↗
- Regulatory
- Provides automated revenue recognition compliant with ASC 606 and IFRS 15 in higher tiers. No PCI compliance fee is charged per a third-party source (April 2026), but Recurly's PCI DSS service-provider attestation level could not be verified from a primary source. Recurly is a billing/orchestration layer on the merchant's own processor and not merchant of record, so sales-tax/VAT liability stays with the merchant — unlike MoR competitors such as Paddle. No money-transmitter or acquiring licence was verified. BBB shows A+ but not accredited (2022, stale).
